Child safety standards

Adults only

You must be 18 or over to join. Every member is ID-checked, with an official ID and a live selfie, before they can be seen. An ID that shows someone under 18 is never accepted.

If we learn that a member is under 18, we close the account. A new sign-up with the same phone number or email address is refused, and the same ID cannot pass our ID check again.

What we do not tolerate

We do not tolerate any of these on Qalbii:

• grooming
• sexualising a child
• sharing or asking for child sexual abuse material
• sextortion
• trafficking

How to report a concern

In the app: open the member's profile, or the menu in your chat with them. Tap Report, and choose Possible underage user or Grooming or exploitation, or the reason that fits best. The member is not told who reported them.

By email: write to safety@qalbii.com with Child safety in the subject line.

If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.

What we do when a concern is reported

• A report of a possible underage user, grooming or exploitation, threats or coercion freezes the reported account at once. It cannot message, like or be seen until a trained moderator has reviewed it.
• Every report goes to our moderation team, and the most serious are looked at first.
• Accounts involved in child sexual abuse or exploitation are banned. Any such material is kept securely, only as evidence for the authorities.
• We keep evidence only as the law requires, and for no longer than it requires.
• We report child sexual abuse and exploitation to the police and the National Crime Agency, and child sexual abuse images to the Internet Watch Foundation. We cooperate with the police and other law enforcement.

Prevention

• Every member is ID-checked before anyone sees them.
• Profile photos are checked automatically before other members can see them, and a person reviews every photo the check flags.
• Photos sent in chat are checked, and are allowed only from the Serious stage.
• Contact details stay hidden until both members choose to share them.
• Members can block or report anyone at any time.
