Delete your account

You can delete your account in the app, or ask us to do it if you cannot sign in. This page explains what is deleted and what we must keep.

Delete it in the app

Your profile disappears from Home, matches and messages straight away. You then have 30 days to sign back in and cancel the deletion if you change your mind.

Open the Qalbii app and tap Profile.
Tap Settings, then Account.
Choose Delete, and follow the steps to confirm.

Ask us to delete it

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, use the form on this page, or email support@qalbii.com from the email address on your account. We will check that it is you before we act. We will reply within one month.

Plans you pay for

Deleting your account does not stop a plan bought through Apple or Google. Please cancel it in your phone's subscription settings. See Refunds for the steps.

What is deleted, and when

Once 30 days have passed without you signing back in:

Your profile, answers, preferences, matches and journeys are erased, or made anonymous.
Your photos come off your profile straight away. Our own backup copies are gone within 31 days.
Your chats are hidden from both of you at once and erased 90 days later. An open report or a legal hold can keep evidence for longer.
A data download link, if you asked for one, works for 7 days and is then deleted.

What we must keep, and for how long

A small amount of information outlives your account because the law requires it, or to protect other members. We keep only what is needed, for no longer than this:

Payment and ticket records: up to 7 years, for financial and tax law.
Safety reports and evidence: if you were part of an open safety case, up to 2 years after the case closes.
Sign-in records: details that identify you, such as your email, IP address and device, are wiped after 90 days.
Other activity logs: IP address and device details are removed after 2 years.
Records of our team's actions on tasks: 3 years.
If your account was permanently banned: a one-way code of your mobile number, not your profile, for 5 years, to stop the same person rejoining. We do not keep this if you simply delete your account.
A request to delete sent from this website: 6 years, as proof that we acted on it.
